  • Extension of the Frankfurter Goethe-Haus: Das Deutsche Romantik-Museum

    Exhibiting the worldwide unique collections of literature on German Romanticism, which are stored in the archives of the Freies Deutsches Hochstift and cannot be seen on public display, is the main goal of the Deutsches Romantik-Museum. Today, as the property on the left side of the Goethe-Haus is now free for development, there is a new chance to implement this old plan.

  • Renovation and Extension of the Jewish Museum

    The renovation of the existing buildings provide opportunities for a rearrangement of the permanent exhibition, with particular attention to new visitor guidance concepts. The museum entrance area is to be relocated to the new extension building. In addition to the primary requirement of flexible exhibition areas for temporary exhibitions, the room specifications for the extension building include a lecture theatre, a library with an attached archive, a café, a museum shop and workshops.

  • New museum MOMEM

    The Friends of MOMEM e.V. association introduced a new culture and music project: right in the heart of Frankfurt, the birthplace of techno, the „MOMEM – Museum of Modern Electronic Music“ is set to open its doors to the public in 2018. A revolutionary new museum and exhibition concept will allow visitors to immerse themselves fully in the history and development of electronic music. The city of Frankfurt will provide the premises for the MOMEM, situated at Hauptwache, which were occupied by the Kindermuseum until the beginning of 2018 (children’s museum).

  • Extension of the Senckenberg Naturmuseum Frankfurt

    To extend the museum, Senckenberg will uses its own resources to build a 7,000 m2 extension on the west side of the building, making for total exhibition space of some 14,000 m2 to celebrate its 200th anniversary in 2017.

  • The New Construction of the Historical Museum Frankfurt

    The winning design for the new construction of Frankfurt’s Historical Museum is the advocate of a key hallmark: continuity. Perspectives of history merge with impressions of the present into a new picture. This is the concept of the architects Lederer Ragnarsdóttir and Oei.
