To celebrate the anniversary of Bund Offenbacher Künstler e. V., the city of Offenbach is hosting three exhibitions in the Haus der Stadtgeschichte. The history of the association forms the starting point. Partly unpublished documents from the Hessian State Archives in Darmstadt and the Offenbach City Archives, private, previously inaccessible writings and documents as well as works by artists from the museum collection bring the history of the association to life. The exhibition explores various questions: Why was the association founded on December 15, 1926? How did the association fare during the Great Depression and National Socialism? How did the association's life develop after the new beginning in 1945 up to the first female artists on the board in the new millennium? Which sites and events have been important for the BOK over the past hundred years?
