The MGGU - Museum Giersch at Goethe University: a multidisciplinary forum for art and science.
Centrally located in a villa on the banks of the Main in Sachsenhausen, the museum presents temporary special exhibitions that address socially and scientifically relevant topics. In addition, previously unnoticed artistic positions with the Rhine-Main region as a geographical interface are exhibited in the context of art and film studies research at Goethe University. An exhibition centre for all those who are interested in multidisciplinary perspectives and want to discover something new.
Founded in 2000 by the Giersch Foundation, the MGGU has been part of Goethe University since 2015. It is a museum for art that brings the university and the city into contact with each other. As part of Frankfurt's internationally renowned Museumsufer, the MGGU is part of a lively and diverse urban culture and art scene.
