The Satourday-Programme – Free Saturday

Frankfurt’s museums have teamed up for a special programme: on every last Saturday of the month admission is free for many museums.

On these days the museums offer more than just exhibitions. Children and adults can embark jointly on a tour of discovery. Special guided tours for families, workshops and other activities with different mottos are offered free of charge. Alongside the own research and tours a colourful diversity unfolds.

In December and August there is free admission on the last Saturday in the municipal museums without special programme.

Free Admission on Satourdays

Kultur- und Freizeitticket (KUFTI)

Frankfurt is setting an example for more cultural participation in the city from an early age: With the Kultur- und Freizeitticket [culture and leisure ticket] (KUFTI), young visitors under the age of 18 can visit the permanent and special exhibitions in Frankfurt's museums and the Frankfurt Zoo free of charge. The ticket can be ordered free of charge as of June 2020 for Frankfurt schoolchildren, daycare center children and children and young people under the age of 18 from households with a monthly net income of less than 4500 euros. For all other families, regardless of their place of residence, an annual ticket price of 29 euros applies. Municipal museums are free of charge for everyone under 18.

Without Kultur- und Freizeitticket children and young persons pay the regular admission at:

At the Museum für Kommunikation and Museum Giersch der Goethe-Universität admission is charged for adults only.
